My World's
current projects run in Tanzania. Funds are
available to send Tanzanian students to all of
the 15 National Parks, as well as conservation
areas, each of which possesses stark natural
beauty and distinct educational opportunities.
Mt. Kilimanjaro presents many lessons in
geology and physics, the Serengeti - a great
laboratory for discussing ecoystems, Ngorongoro
Crater - conservation, and Gombe Stream
National Park affords students the opportunity
to see our closest living relatives face to
face as they observe Chimpanzees in their
natural habitat.
To enrich the educational experience of these
trips My
World will partner with local teachers
to develop a robust curriculum that will take
best advantage of the resources that each park
offers.
For certain students who have demonstrated academic merit and financial need, My World will provide scholarships covering school fees and associated expenses throughout secondary school as long as they maintain good academic performance.
